The women’s ministry of FBCS is a vibrant group of women of varying ages, from young adults to great-grandmothers, who all have one thing in common: we all love our Lord Jesus and want to grow into His likeness.

Women are unique and precious to God. Women have a distinctive contribution in the home, the Church and the world. Each person is special in God’s sight and is important to the Kingdom. Meeting together with other believers is necessary for our growth and encouragement. By strengthening our own spiritual lives, we will contribute immeasurably to the lives of our families, friends, and strangers we meet, while also becoming prepared for service within the local church.

From January through October, Women’s Ministry meets monthly in various homes for fellowship and refreshments, a Bible Study, and prayer. November may contain a hiatus due to Thanksgiving, but the fellowship returns for the annual December Christmas party. In addition to the monthly Bible study, we will be having additional times of fellowship, such as a Tea Party in the spring, and a BBQ in the summer.

The women’s ministry also has fundraisers for foreign missions projects, including a child sponsored in an AIDS-affected region of Africa through Children’s HopeChest.
